Nectarbrook Discovery Plantation

Nectarbrook is a Southern Flinders Ranges, South Australian  farming and grazing property where an experiment in arid land horticulture has been undertaken for the last thirteen years. A managed plantation of one thousand Australian Sandalwood ( Santalum spicatum ) and two hundred and fifty Quandong ( Santalum acuminatum ) is established and has been closely observed for host plant compatibility, water needs, attacking insects and means of control, and inheritability factors.

The Sandalwood comprises eight different cultivars from Port Pirie to the Pilbara as well as a small lot of Tropicals ( Santalum album ) and Queensland Sandalwood ( Santalum lanceolatum )

The Quandongs are three seedling cultivars and the grafted PBR Quandong--Powell's # 1
