NECTARBROOK CULTIVAR "Supamarket"

A result of our breeding programme using the "Nonning" cultivar as the pollinator for the "Powell# 1"

This four year old "Nectarbrook" Quandong ( Supamarket )  produced 720 fruit. The fruit is a little larger than a P#1 and yields at a ratio of 72% fruit to stone.

The fruit will sit in storage at room temperature for at least a week without losing fresh appearance or taste.

Nectarbrook Discovery Plantation's Quandong "Supamarket" has a clean white flesh and a dark burgundy skin. The stone is small enough to rattle in a whole fruit. The fruit does not split during wet weather. Fresh flavour is excellent

We sat some "Supamarket" fruit on the kitchen window sill for a week and then cooked it. One of the best flavoured Quandong we have ever eaten.

"Supamarket" with it's classic shape and colour, keeping abilities, superb flavour, cooked or fresh is a Quandong ready to grace the shelves of Australia's retail fruit shops.

We are prepared to make material from this tree available to people wishing to graft.

The clonal trees produced must carry the name, NECTARBROOK Cultivar "SUPAMARKET".
